Very disappointed with our experience today, My wife and I called in to the shop and browsed the very nice jewellery searching for my mothers 85th birthday present. We settled on a lovely necklace and agreed to buy it. When we got to the till, we were told the price had increased from the displayed price by another £19 (very nearly a 33% increase}. I asked them to honour the advertised price which they refused, despite repeated requests. The Manager eventually agreed a less than generous £5 concession. As we were short on time, we reluctantly agreed, but left feeling completely taken advantage of. I returned explaining that, according to Trading Standards, it is illegal to charge more than the displayed price, but she was unrepentant. This will be my last visit.😡
